Named after the famous ship, the Selandia Suite is classically decorated in hues of pale ivory against a background of hazy blues and scarlet accents.
The silk draperies pluck the scarlet from the room and mix it with spring green and light yellows. The Master bedroom in celadon is accented with gold leaf and a pair of crystal and silver bedside lamps. The adjoining bedroom suite, no less a Master on its own, pays homage to the nautical side of The Selandia. Teak floors
with panelled walls and navy striped cotton draperies give this room a distinct feel, while brass cornered tables and ivory silk seating add to the mood of luxury.
A collection of photographs and engravings, of ships and world maps, make one wonder where The Selandia has sailed. A Burmese theatrical dancer’s trunk talks about a traveller of a different sort, perhaps lending a clue to the ship’s passage.
Size approximately 185 square meters/1989 square feet.
