The menu at this Italian restaurant in Sukhumvit was created by Paride Noviello from Trieste. The kitchen team also work closely with Michelin star chef Alfredo Russo, who creates at least two of the wine dinners in Bangkok per year and also injects his creativity into the inspiring a la carte menu. Must try dishes include the seared goose liver with pumpkin and amaretti crumble (790 baht), tortelli filled with artichoke and goat cheese (450 baht), and fillet of wagyu with baby onions, in a dark beer reduction (1,800 baht). For dessert, try the chocolate hazelnut semifreddo with mousse and nuts (320 baht). For the wine dinners, each 5 course menu is created alongside the wines, so that the flavours bring out the best in each other. A recent Napa Valley wine dinner opened yellow fin tuna and langoustine with citrus fruits, served with a mellow Twomey Cellars Sauvignon Blanc with hints of grapefruit, lime peel and sugared pineapple.
If you are coming to a wine dinner at Rossini’s, you will start the evening with a glass of prosecco and some hors d'oeuvres. The knowledgeable sommelier talks you through the selections before dinner starts. It’s clear that the wines are picked with impressive care and are well paired with the food. For example, the full-bodied Philip Togni Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 balances well with the rich duck a foe gras ravioli and blackberries, and the Dominus Estate Christian Moueix 2005 that accompanied the wagyu steak was rated 95 by Robert Palmer, the American vintner. The rich chocolate dessert came with a fruity sweet red that also came highly rated.

These special dinners give you a great taste of these fine wines, as well as the opportunity to purchase a bottle or two to take home.
