Wild & Co Bangkok is a unique dining experience for the enthusiastic meat-eater, and it shares a shaded plot with one of Bangkok’s finest live music bars in the city, Black Cabin. Opened by a group of friends with a love for great food and live music, the grand idea is to come for a hearty tomahawk steak or crocodile meat salad, then enjoy an award-winning cocktail in the garden, before the live band starts rocking Black Cabin. It's impeccably well done and highly recommended.
Wild & Co – the restaurant section – is inside a glass house behind the bar. With indoor trees and surrounded by greenery, diners will feel like they’re in a jungle atmosphere – further helped by the mounted animal heads on the walls. The menu has a touch of Thai – deifinitely try the ant eggs stir fried with Thai spices – and most of the meat is sourced from the finest farms in Thailand but cooked in a western style. Highlights include the smoked beef ribs that are hickory smoked for 8 hours. From the selection of rare meats available at Wild & Co, you could try venison, crocodile, quail and rabbit. If you’re not in the mood for a meat dish, the truffle risotto is highly recommended with an incredibly rich flavour and biting texture.

Home to some of Bangkok’s most original and best music, Black Cabin is a must for lovers of live bands. Depending on the night you’ll be treated to jazz, soul, blues, and electronica. There’s really no other bar in Bangkok providing such consistently high-quality music. The crowd is cool and mostly Thai, with a smattering of in-the-know foreigners. Live music starts from 21:00.
The bar has a wide range of high-end whiskey, cognac and rum, and there are even some local craft beers available that are brewed exclusively for Wild & Co. The signature cocktails have won awards, and particular favourites include their take on a Negroni which is made with Jameson’s and fresh orange. Wednesday is Ladies’ Night with free flow drinks for girls between 20:30 and 22:00, while Sunday it’s Buy-1-Get-1 on beers and house pours.
This restaurant and bar combo is located at the end of Soi Farmwattana, a narrow street off Rama 4, which is quite hard to find without Google Maps. The closest BTS station is Ekkamai or Prakanong.
