Top 5 Ladies Nights Out in Bangkok

Nightlife in Bangkok

Bangkok can sometimes feel like it was designed for guys, but the bars and clubs listed below know how to treat a lady, and there is a great selection of offers for the fairer sex right across the city, from sipping sparkling wine in a posh hotel bar to free drinks and half-price pub food. Ladies nights are becoming increasingly popular, even though they can leave you wondering what venues get out of it... Don’t fear the worst though, as our top five below is all about good times, girls and gossiping; no meat markets or greasy men here!

Concept CM2

This club likes ladies so much that it has three nights dedicated to them every week. On Mondays and Thursdays it’s free entry and two free drinks, and Sundays are free entry only. This hotel club has been around for years and it knows how to get you dancing; the music is cheesy in the best possible way. If you can’t make it down to the islands they also host a full moon party once a month so you can get your fill of buckets and sand without leaving the city.

Opening Hours: 21:00 – 02:00
BTS: Siam
Address: Novotel, Siam Square Soi 6, Bangkok 10330

Coyote

Every Wednesday between 18:00 and 20:00 and Saturday between 10:00 and 12:00 the Silom branch of Coyote keeps it simple with a choice of two free margaritas and bowls of Tex-Mex popcorn. These casual Mexican restaurants offer a laid-back vibe, with the main focus usually on dining rather than drinking. Grab a booth or a table with a bunch of friends and splash out a few hundred baht to share a plate of Nachos whilst friendly staff members keep your glasses filled. There is also a Coyote near Phrom Pong BTS on Sukhumvit Road that hosts ladies night from 18:00 and 20:00 on Thursdays.

Location: Soi Convent, Silom
BTS: Sala Daeng

The Dubliner

This dark and moody Irish pub on Sukhumvit is not the wildest place for a Saturday night, but from 19:00 there are a whole selection of offers for ladies, including a free welcome drink, cocktails at 99 baht, glasses of wine for 75 baht and half-price Thai food. You can shoot some pool, watch sports on the big screen, or if you are lucky enough, get to enjoy some toe-tapping live folk music, Appearances can be deceiving and the Dubliner is far more fun that it looks.

Opening Hours: 22:30 - 01:00
Location: Sukhumvit 33/1
BTS: Phrom Pong

My Bar Dusit Thani

This hotel bar offers free drinks in a five-star setting. Every Wednesday night from 19:00 – 21:00 they offer a selection of free wine, spirits and cocktails. You are probably best sticking to wine or a classic gin and tonic as the cocktails aren’t up to much. The DJ has a penchant for late 90s pop, but in general the music is good enough to hit the small dance floor. No shorts or flip-flops allowed, and they charge you to sit down, but propping yourself up at the bar amongst the crowd is far more fun anyway.

MRT: Silom
BTS: Sala Daeng
Address: MyBar at Dusit Thani Bangkok, 946 Rama IV Road

Witches Tavern

Witches Tavern

This watering hole reminds me of one my Grandfather used to spend too much time in, and it’s a slog down Thong Lor to get there. But every Wednesday free gin, whisky and rum and mixers are on offer from 17:00 till 21:00 to help you forget about the tired decor. The pub food isn’t too bad if you need to soak up all those freebies.

Opening Hours: 11:00 – 01:00
Location: Sukhumvit 55 (Between Thonglor Soi 8 and 10)
BTS: Thong Lo
