This was the first Bangkok branch of Tim Ho Wan (originally from Hong Kong, and internationally famous as it was the cheapest Michelin star restaurant in the world when first awarded). It is a spacious restaurant and offers plenty of seating for its guests. This is key since the restaurant can be quite busy, especially on the weekends, and they do not take reservations ahead of time. The atmosphere feels like that of a fast food joint, and the dishes start coming out almost immediately after you have placed your order. Highlights include the savoury radish cake for 100 baht, and the steamed pork dumpling with shrimp for 120 baht. Almost all of the dishes cost between 100 and 200 baht. If you have a sweet tooth, consider trying the homemade barley drink, served hot or cold. Tim Ho Wan Bangkok now has a 2nd branch in Gateway Mall, connected to Ekkamai BTS Station. Both venues offer the same menu.
