Robinson’s Bangrak is a modern shopping centre located in the Riverside area of Bangkok. It contrasts with the rest of the area, which has a more rustic, local feel to it and makes shopping for international brands convenient for visitors who are staying in the area or those visiting one of the many attractions along the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Robinson Shopping Mall is only a short two-minute walk from the BTS Sky Train at Saphan Taksin. It’s open every day, from 10:30 until 22:00 during the week and from 10:00 to 22:00 on weekends. As well as a decent range of shops, there are also chain restaurants and a food court. Another point of interest is the small market that runs outside the shopping mall, where you can find fresh fruit and street food stalls.

Robinson at Bangrak is set out over four floors and it’s clean and bright. The shops are split into different sections, with Robinson Department store taking up most of the space. Items for sale here include clothing, make-up and perfume counters including L’Oreal, Calvin Klein and Shiseido. You will also find homeware, luggage and toys here as well. If you are looking for electronics, including mobile phones, tablets and laptops then Powerbuy on the basement level is your best option. Supersports sells a range of sportswear for men and women with brands such as Adidas, Nike as well as a range of Thai Premier League and European football shirts. For all your stationary needs there is B2S, which also sells DVDs, CDs and books, although most of these will be in Thai.
There are plenty of food options available too. If you would like a quick, great value dinner and aren’t too fussed about the surroundings then the food court is your best bet. Here you will find a range of Thai dishes starting at as little as 30 baht. On the entrance level floor you will find a Starbucks, McDonald’s and Swenson’s Ice-Cream Parlour. There are also familiar Thai food chains such as MK and Yayoi. For those looking for a supermarket in the Bangrak area, then Tops sells a great range of goods, including internationally-branded foodstuffs from Europe, Australia and America.
Robinson Bangrak keeps things simple, but offers a good range of goods and dining that wasn’t previously available in the area.
