Primetime Thailand - Movie Subscription Service

Stream Movies and Series in Thailand

Watching television in Thailand has, until recently, meant one of two scenarios. Either you suffer through the absurd plotlines and canned laughter of Thai television or you pay huge fees for mediocre service and endless repeats on satellite.

Well, finally a movie and series subscription service has arrived in Thailand that allows you to stream unlimited movies and series on your computer, tablet or smart phone – all for a few hundred baht a month. It is called PrimeTime, Thailand’s answer to Netflix!

As many foreign residents in Thailand are aware, there is no license for Netflix in Thailand, but Primetime has now solved this problem and, in our opinion, provides a superior service in certain aspects.

In regards to content, the choice of movies and series for Primetime customers is better in terms of variety, with PrimeTime’s library being updated weekly. In fact, Primetime has exclusive releases for top Hollywood movies, meaning some of the content can only be watched through Primetime in Thailand. Some of the latest movies available on the service include the Scarlett Johansson blockbuster Lucy, and visionary director Richard Linklater’s new movie, Boyhood, which recently won the Golden Globe for Best Film and Best Director. Also, the service has already confirmed the premiering a host of new movies in the near future, including Annie (Premiere date: March 26, 2015), which can be seen solely on PrimeTime in Thailand, and Oscar-winning Theory of Everything (Premiere date: April 1, 2015).

However, it is the Thai dubbed tracks and the Thai/English subtitles, available for the vast majority of the service’s extensive collection, that makes PrimeTime a necessity for any expat movie or series lover in Thailand. No longer do you have to convince a Thai spouse or friend to watch the most popular series from back home, in a language they struggle to comprehend.

I have been using Primetime for a few weeks, and I love the freedom of watching HD quality movies and television series whenever I want – from the comfort of my home to the seats of the BTS – and on any type of device. I can initially start watching a movie on my smart phone in the taxi to finishing it on my flat screen TV via HDMI connection in my house. I have certainly seen enough to confidently say that PrimeTime is on course to becoming a game changer for home entertainment in Thailand.

You can even try it out for yourself by using the code:3PMZ-44EP-9J84-EP9S (1 Day Free Trial expires August 31)

To watch the newest and all-time favorite movies and TV series on-demand with PrimeTime, download the app for iOS or Android, or access the web version at www.GoPrimeTime.tv through Google Chrome.  Packages range from 199 THB up to 549 THB for unlimited Hollywood movies and TV series.  Customers who are short-term in Thailand can watch Premier Movies individually at a price of 100 THB per Premier Movie or 300 THB for a package of 4 Premier Movies.
