The Kitchen Table at W Bangkok offers a generous all-day a la carte selection in some rather funky surroundings, fitting in perfectly with this chic design-hotel. The wide-reaching menu is full of contemporary western takes alongside some more delicate Asian flavours, all with an emphasis firmly on ‘shared dining’. There's also some particularly tempting drinks promos, as well as a pretty cool design-your-own-burger concept. (See the full list of promotions below)
As the signature restaurant of W Bangkok hotel, decor at The Kitchen Table is flamboyant as ever, featuring a distinct crocodile theme in reference to the giant beasts that used to roam the area before the all hotels and high rises took over. The main kitchen is fully exposed too, and there’s also a pretty outside terrace overlooking the old Russian Embassy; a great sundown spot, especially with their ‘Wine Me, Dine Me’ bottomless wine and cocktail deal (600 baht for two hours).

Offerings from the menu include the sweet glazed pork rib, a hearty serving that definitely fits well with their new sharing philosophy (and at 720 baht you’d hope so too). A slightly more delicate options is the plah pla tuna (490 Baht), a delightful assortment of sashimi-style slices with fried calamari, Thai herbs and spices. Another Thai classic is their take on the country’s much loved yellow seafood curry, the phad pong gari pu nim (890 baht), which is pimped-up with Maine Lobster tail and some succulent soft shell crab, putting this dish on a whole other level to what you’ll find elsewhere.
To finish, their 66% pure Valrhonian chocolate bar (500 baht for two people) - at a good 10 inches long - is probably enough for about four people. Tuck into the soft moose with one of the liquor pearls on the side for an even more special moment-in-the-mouth.
Another eye-catcher is the playful ‘My Burger, My Style’ deal, which allows you to design your own burger from the bottom up. Choose your meat (pork, chicken, beef, lamb), cheese, bun and sauce and get a beer or soft drink included in the price (470 baht).
You can find The Kitchen Table at W Bangkok hotel (level 2), a short walk from Chong Nonsi BTS Skytrain station in the centre of Sathorn.
