  • The Great Kabab Factory Bangkok at Majestic Grande

    Bangkok’s Best Indian Buffet

The Great Kabab Factory in Bangkok, located on the ground floor of the Majestic Grande Hotel, has taken Indian fine dining to another level, offering an a la carte buffet of delicious kebabs served fresh from the tandoor oven to your table. For a set price of 1,100 baht for non-vegetarians and 1,000 baht for vegetarians (not including tax or service charge) The Great Kabab Factory also serves a range of authentic curries, Indian bread and exotic desserts as part of this great value deal.

This stylish venue proudly claims to have 450 different types of kebabs in their repertoire, although each day a fresh set menu is created and guests can have unlimited amounts of any dish. Open daily from 18:00, The Great Kabab Factory in Bangkok is located on Sukhumvit Soi 2, a couple of minutes’ walk from Nana BTS Skytrain Station.

  • Every day there are six meat kebabs on offer with two lamb options, one fish, two chicken and one prawn kebab. Expect dishes such as lamb seekh kebab, succulent chicken tikka, herb flavoured chicken with fennel and fish with black pepper. Waiters bring options fresh from the tanoor oven still sizzling so you can enjoy the meat at its most fresh and fragrant. All meat is 100% halal.

For vegetarians there is still a magnificent menu of offerings including paneer cheese, potatoes, cauliflower and many other creative combinations, also served fresh from the oven. A choice of three Indian breads enhance the kebab course at The Great Kabab Factory in Bangkok, with classic naan, sweet saffron bread and a signature fennel-flavoured variety. If you are particularly taken by anything on the menu, you can order unlimited portions.

After guests have had their fill of the kebabs, it’s time for a quick palate cleaner before the main course of four types of curry, featuring black and yellow lentils as well as thick varieties of boneless butter chicken, a mixed vegetable curry and a rice byriani. Again, guests a free to choose as much as the like, but be warned, by now most diners have had a sumptuous feast. However, we highly recommend you save room for a selection of exotic desserts freshly prepared by the skilled chefs. Saffron ice cream, lentils and coconut reduced in sugar and milk and even sweet diced carrot are some of the most surprising and delicious items.

There is a fully stocked bar, with a long list of single malt whiskeys, signature cocktails starting from 200 baht and some delicious lassis (Indian yougurt drinks) that help to sooth the taste buds after such a taste sensation.

The chic dining room features a sparklingly clean open kitchen and a dining room designed in earthy colours of deep orange, rust and navy blue. It is particularly stylish when compared to many other inferior Indian restaurants in Nana.

The knowledgeable, English-speaking staff are yet another reason to set The Great Kabab Factory Bangkok apart. Precise descriptions of the food, with recommendations of which garnish goes best with which meat, as well as good humoured and diligent service ensures the experience is a thoroughly enjoyable one.
