Fantasia Lagoon Water Park at The Mall

A Great Water Park in Bangkok for only 100 Baht

Fantasia Lagoon is a relatively large and attractive water park built on the roof of The Mall Bangkae, which is very near Bangkok compared to the famous Dream World or Siam Park. Despite being opened for many years, the park is surprisingly unknown to tourists and only Thai locals come and play here. Fantasia Lagoon got refurbished very recently and is a fun place for kids and young adults to spend a day with huge pools and decent size sliders, and in addition you have the entire mall to play with including a very attractive games and entertainment zone located right below the water park. And it only costs 100 baht!

The Park at Fantasia Lagoon - large for such a low entry fee - is divided into several zones, accommodating children of all ages - Fantasy Fountain for the youngest, Pirate Cove and the Slider Tower for the more daring, and everything in between: Magic Jungle, Mystery Island and Ocean 10 are full of water activities, games and fun features to thrill your kids for a great afternoon of splashing fun. Once you are running out of energy, just drift along the Lazy River on an inflatable tube or sit near the stage where entertainers involve kids in balloon shows, magic shows and other fun games. And of course there is no fun without food so you can order Thai dishes and plenty of ice cream at the food court.

Fantasia Lagoon Water Park is a world on its own and soon you forget you are still in Bangkok, unless you climb on top of the slider tower for bird's eye view of the busy traffic down there. The impression of a fantasy world is even stronger in the amusement park located below. A great deal of effort was spent on the entertainment area of the mall, inside the little cartoon town with fun looking houses, a painted sky and an old fashion merry-go-round. You can even ride suspended little boats moving around this part of the mall. All features are new, beautifully executed and kids certainly love it!

The Mall Bangkae itself is an attractive shopping mall, with a huge indoor waterfall and water features meandering around the main part of the building. Here you can enjoy plenty of shopping with a department store on one side and the shopping gallery on the other. The gallery is dedicated to independent shops with a strong emphasis on food franchises as expected. Several state of the art cinemas can be found upstairs not far from the waterpark.

Fantasia Lagoon and The Mall Bangkae make a perfect afternoon out if you travel with kids, especially when weather is hotter than usual. It's not very far, it's not expensive, it has been beautifully renovated and it has tons of things to see, do and eat for adults too! Just a note, the water park can be pretty full on weekends so if you have the choice, keep it for a week day!
