Benjarong Restaurant at Dusit Thani Bangkok has been one the city’s finest Thai restaurants for over a decade. This legendary hotel decided to update the menu and bring in a visionary chef to combine elements of modern fine dining with classic Thai flavours. If you’re looking for traditional Thai fare with a European twist, consider dining here for either lunch or dinner. This venue is upscale but unpretentious, with an ornate dining room with traditional artwork and Thai murals on the walls. There are also classically trained Thai musicians playing in the evening, as well as a koi pond and small waterfall visible through floor-to-ceiling windows.
Popular with visitors looking for a high-end Thai cuisine as well as businessmen engrossed in wining and dining their guests, you can find everything from a classic pad Thai with river prawns to more experimental dishes such as foie gras and tamarind chutney. The menu runs through traditional Thai courses, with salads, soups, fried dishes and curries. Highlights include the red curry with crispy roasted duck and papaya salad with chicken or pork skewers. To truly experience the best of the excellent food at Benjarong, there are two six-course dinner sets, priced at 1750 baht and 1950 baht, which come with a suggested wine pairing. For lunch, you can choose from three set menus, all for 900 baht (weekdays only).
Benjarong Restaurant is located in the Dusit Thani Hotel on Rama IV Road, right across from the MRT Silom Subway Station and Sala Daeng BTS Skytrain Station.
