Angel City Diner is now closed.
Angel City Diner is a late night burger bar with all the trappings of classic Americana: glistening steel high chairs, big comfy booths, a neon jukebox and eye popping burgers to fill the biggest of appetites. Located midway down Bangkok’s popular party street Sukhumvit Soi 11, Angel City Diner is only a few short steps from Bed Supperclub and Levels nightclub, and offers hungry clubbers an alternative to the street carts and noodle stalls that was previously the only quick refuelling options available. The nearest BTS station is Nana and from there, it is a 500 metre walk or a quick motorcycle journey. The restaurant is open from 10:00 and doesn't close until 04:30 so whenever you get the craving for a genuine burger and shake, Angel City Diner have got you covered.

All beef burgers are made with 200g of imported Angus beef with a choice of fries, tater tots or salad, and if beefs not your thing, there is also a chicken option and a pizza burger (349 baht), made with pepperoni, mozzarella, olives and marinara sauce.
The chilli cheese burger (349 baht) is a delicious mix of ground beef, jalapenos and melted cheddar cheese; just don’t expect to look sophisticated while eating it and remember to wash your hands before you begin. For those with a ravenous appetite there is also a monstrous DDD burger, which is served with a double patty, double cheese, double bacon and additional toppings (599 baht).
Supporting the cast of burgers is a variety of All-American favourites such as steak and eggs, meatloaf and turkey breast (there are also a few salads on the menu but that is surely unpatriotic). Angel City Diner also does a nice mix of devilishly thick shakes for 129 baht that keep you sucking all the way to the bottom. The chocolate shake contains lashings of Hershey’s chocolate sauce while the coconut uses real coconut, blended to perfection with whipped cream and, of course, a cherry on top.
Late night restaurants in Bangkok are usually run-down local affairs so Angel City Diner is a real welcome addition to the nightlife scene in Bangkok, even though munching your way through a deluxe burger with Roy Orbison on the free-to-use jukebox really could be anywhere.
