5 Great Shops to check out at Asiatique
Night Shopping Bazaar near the River
Asiatique has become one of my favourite spots for to spend an evening for many reasons. There are plenty of choices for an evening drink or dinner, you can ride on the romantic big wheel and it is easy to get around. But the best thing about it is the great selection of over 1,500 boutiques. Open from 17:00 to 23:00 every evening it is only a five minute boat ride on the free shuttle from the pier near BTS Sapphan Taksin.
With so many items on display in these warehouses be sure to pick up a map near the entrance, store numbers are painted at the top of each doorway, so be sure to look up if you are trying to find things. To give you a taste of some of the great shops you can explore whilst here I have picked out five great local boutiques that deserve more than a browse.Read More

Located only a few metres from Asiatique’s boardwalk, this great Thai homeware store is full of items that are both useful and fun. The display of colourful items is very inviting; it’s the perfect place to find something you didn’t even know was missing from your life. Everything here is both practical and cute. The shelves are stocked with quirky items including a toilet brush shaped like an oversized cherry, a salt and pepper shaker shaped like a small chick and a log and squirrel self-watering pot plant. Get them now before the brand becomes popular.

There are so many pleasing things about this small bag boutique. Not only are you likely to catch the craftsmen at work in one corner of their Asiatique shop, they also use great quality leather imported from Argentina and Australia that is soft and supple. The items have a vintage feel to them and although the brand started out with wallets and key chains, they have now branched out into beautiful unisex canvas and leather everyday tote bags that come in beach stripes and colourful two-tone shades. It’s also a great place to give your watch a new lease of life with one of their handmade chunky straps.
3Le Petid Print0
- Location: Warehouse 5, Store number Rm5017

Finding this store is not a problem because it has a tuk tuk parked in the entrance. There are many places to find great t-shirts at Asiatique, but no one designs them quite like Le Petid Print, which stocks soft 100% organic cotton shirts for both men and women. The prints are a mix of well-known and more obscure images including Tintin, Disney characters, The Beatles and vintage publicity posters. The stand-out favourite for me – and a perfect tee to take home – is the railway travel poster for Bangkok, the famous temples shown on a blue background. If you are looking for something even more unique Le Petid Print also create original designs.
4Magnifique et moi0
- Location: Warehouse 4, Store number 4159-4160

There is always a certain bygone era that is making waves in the fashion world, but if you want to rummage through the best of them all under one roof then Maginifique is the place to go. Even from outside it looks like a boutique in Paris, with careful displays of floaty dresses and chic accessories. The collection is eclectic: Victorian sailor shirts, twenties-inspired cloche sun hats and funky 70s print summer dresses. Prices vary and on our last visit we picked up a pair of sixties inspired shades for around 800 baht and a stunning lace swimsuit for 2,500 baht.
5Try me Accessories0

One thing Asiatique is not short of is fabulous costume jewellery stores, but the one that keeps me coming back is Try me, which displays a pastel coloured collection of cute and quirky accessories. Many of the items are inspired by a selection of sugary snacks including a rainbow cake ring, candy floss fluffy earrings and a macaroon necklaces in different ‘flavours’. Continuing the cute theme you can also find bunnies, puppies, bows and flowers, but, for me, the stand out items are the romantic double swan ring and the carousel collection.
