Towering limestone cliffs, crystal water and offshore islands stretching into the distance - that's the typical view from many Krabi hotels. Low rise and low key, Krabi wants to maintain its beauty and virtually all resorts don't rise above the height of an coconut tree! Krabi's extensive and under-developed coastline has accommodation on only a few beaches like Ao Nang. Some beaches like Railey Beach are accessible only by boat.
Accommodation ranges from resorts, beach bungalows and local Ao Nang Hotels to luxury high end at Tubkaak and Klong Muang beaches. Ko Lanta - a large relatively secluded island one hour away - offers excellent boutique accommodation and resorts. A ferry operates daily to the Phi Phi islands.
