Bangkok Water Parks

The temperature is rising and with it your child's restlessness. Of course, the hotel swimming pool can be a fun way to cool down, but nothing beats an entire playground dedicated to splashing, water and all sorts of fun-filled entertainment! Treat yourself and the kids to a day at the water park. Not only will they enjoy splashing and playing in the water, they'll probably go to bed without much resistance leaving you an evening of peace and quiet, if you're not too exhausted yourself...

Siam Park is a huge recreational park featuring various swimming pools, towering waterslides, whirlpools, fountains and a lake. The park's highlight is the 400-metre Super Spiral waterslide, while the giant man-made sea pool with artificial surf is just as spectacular. Further attractions include playgrounds, botanical gardens, an open zoo and an aviary. Try to go on a weekday as it tends to get pretty busy on weekends and public holidays. Facilities include changing rooms, swimsuit rental and fast food outlets.

Admission: Adults 200 baht,Children (between 100-150cm) 100 baht, Small Children (less than 100cm) free of charge. Alternatively a member card costs 390 baht for adults and 200 baht for children, giving you admission for one year and a 50% discount for up to 5 people.

Leoland Water Park is a huge rooftop water park set on top of Central City Bangna shopping mall on the eastern outskirts of Bangkok. This fun water park features waterslides, tube rides and sun beds! Not exactly located near the centre, but worth the trip when you combine it with some shopping at Central.

Admission: Adults 250 baht, Children 150 baht

Open: 11:00 - 18:00 (Monday - Friday); 10:00 - 19:00 (Saturday & Sunday)

Sitting on the rooftop of the Mall Department Store, Fantasia Lagoon's always been a favourite destination for kids and families to have fun and frolic about. Huge water slides and whirlpools are some of the highlights to look out for. Also worth a visit is Fantasia Island, the adjoined theme park that offers endless hours of fun and a dose of adrenalin rush - all in an air-con comfort!
