Bangkok Parks & Playgrounds

Despite the image of Bangkok as a traffic congested city, there are lots of tranquil green sanctuaries, gardens and parks. Many have lakes with small paddle boats for hire, and most have playgrounds for the children to wear themselves out on. Some, like Lumpini Park and Sanam Luang, are great places to go people-watching and are popular for activities like kite flying or Tai Chi. If it's too hot, try retreating to the many indoor playgrounds located at the top of most department stores.

Bangkok is not just a big city full of fumes, skyscrapers, malls, traffic and pollution. There are quite a few parks scattered around the city, providing Bangkok residents with uncontaminated air and lots of healthy outdoor activities in lush, landscaped areas.
