The IMPACT Arena in the Muang Thong Thani district is the largest events venue in Bangkok, and the second biggest in the whole of Asia. The multi-purpose arena can be used as a convention centre, exhibition hall and regularly host huge live concerts, welcoming some of the world’s biggest artists to Bangkok.
Located in the suburbs of Bangkok at Muang Thong Thani (Amphoe Pak Kret), the IMPACT Arena is best reached by taxi if you’re coming from central Bangkok. The nearest BTS Skytrain Station is Mo Chit, which is around 20 minutes’ drive away depending on traffic.

The vast floor space here totals 140,000 square metres – that’s three times as big as the BITEC arena in Bangna, Bangkok’s second biggest events venue. The whole of IMPACT is split into various venues and facilities, including the main indoor arena (able to sit up to 12,000 people for big concerts), as well as ‘Aktiv Square’ (an outside amphitheater), ‘Challenger Hall’ (the largest ‘column-less’ exhibition hall in the world) and Novotel IMPACT HOTEL.
The arena hosts a staggering 490 events a year across its individual venues, although the most popular are the big-name international concerts, which often sell out. Notable artists to have played include Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Incubus, Lady Gaga, Eric Clapton, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, and The Script. IMPACT Arena has also previously hosted Miss Universe as well as a long list of other world-famous events and exhibitions.
IMPACT Muang Thong Thani was originally finished in 1999 as part of the 13th Asian Games held in Bangkok. It was then rebranded and extended over the course of the next decade, with several additional venues added to the complex.
Each one of the five venues can be rented privately, and offers state of the art technology for various types of events. The complex can also arrange F&B catering, travel requests, onsite support, wedding planners and accommodation.
Find IMPACT around 40 kilometres north form Bangkok city centre; this journey should take between 40-60 minutes depending on traffic, or around 20 minutes from the BTS at Mo Chit Station. Don Muang International Airport is also nearby, around 15-20 minutes in a taxi.
