What to Do in Pranburi
Essentially people choose this part of the province for its seclusion, it is perfect territory to do nothing more than sun worship and laze amid the virginal surroundings, sipping on a pina colada. When or if this begins to tire then there are a host of sweat-inducing activities to get the adrenaline pumping. From the sprawling greens of the golf course to the seemingly endless ocean, Pranburi offers both on- and off-land adventure. For the most part hotels will provide details or you can go through our TOUR SECTION that offers a wide selection of hand picked and tested fun. The road that fringes the beach is where much of this trade happens, from seaside massage to car rentals.
All Activities in Pranburi
Everyone should consider taking at least one day out to rent a pushbike or motorbike. This provides the perfect opportunity for some uncomplicated exploration of the stunning scenery that surrounds Pranburi. Down on the Beach Road there are a handful of places that rent pushbikes out for 100 baht a day. The terrain around here is fairly steep in parts so be prepared to sweat. Alternatively you could ride the stretch of the bay and enjoy the flat road that follows. There isn’t much traffic around Pranburi which is an added bonus; there are however, some amazing ecological wonders that add some insightful flavour to what could just be a lazy beach holiday.
Being one of Thailand’s most frequented seafood destinations the opportunity to go and catch your own is there for the asking and for fishing enthusiasts, not something to be missed. Trips are aimed to give customers the best freshwater fishing experience for which Pranburi rates highly. Types of fish to be found around here include snakehead (pla chon, pla shadow), jungle perch (pla krasoop), catfish and golden price carp.
Regarded by many as Thailand's premier golf destination, there are seven world-class courses all within an hour’s reach from central Pranburi. These are regularly frequented by golf enthusiasts from all over the world, and include the Majestic, Imperial Lake View, all boasting 27 holes. The five others have 18 holes. Jack Nicklaus designed the Springfield Golf Course.
The course features breathtaking views of the Gulf of Thailand and the surrounding terrain. While it is not mandatory to employ a caddy, it is advisable, and after lugging your clubs around in the blazing heat, a tip of a few hundred baht to your caddy will be well received with a charming smile

This particular province is Thailand’s best destination for kitesurfing. A fortuitous combination of wind from nearby islands and flat, shallow water makes it a great place to both learn and to enjoy the sport. For those who are new to the sport there are numerous schools that offer introduction classes, most lasting three days.
Pampering and revitalizing oneself at a spa is high on the agenda of many visitors to Thailand. All spas provide revitalizing treatments that can include massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, acupressure, body wraps, re-contouring and a variety of specialized treatments for hair, skin and face.
Many spas also have restaurants attached with 'spa cuisine' menus designed to control weight and to provide a healthy, balanced and nutritious diet. Most of the spas around Pranburi are connected to hotels and resorts, but there are a few stand-alone places without accommodation.

For kids, banana boat rides offer hours of fun and shrieks, while grown-ups can enjoy watersport activities like water-skiing, sailing, windsurfing, and parasailing. With the beaches here being so wide and open – and almost never really crowded – how about a game of Frisbee or beach volleyball? There’s also snorkeling, kayaking (at a nearby national park) and diving excursions can be arranged. If these sound like all the ingredients of a perfect beach break, you’re absolutely right! We do not, however, recommend the use of jet-skis because of their environmental toll and the several scams perpetrated by the owners.
