Bed Supperclub's tubular elliptical structure, interior design, exquisite restaurant and house and electro DJs make it one of Bangkok's trendiest, sophisticated and innovative clubs. The dining area on the left side of the club, or rather dining lounge, subtitutes conventional tables with matresses and oversized pillows, inviting guests to open their minds and sharpen their senses. On Fridays and Saturdays the Supperclub hosts a superlative dining and entertainment experience; guests are encouraged to arrive at 20:30 sharp, as there is only one sitting for the four-course meal.
Seperate from the restaurant, the bar and dance club features a mezzanine overlooking the dance floor. A VJ operates from within the crowd on the upper floor and projects visuals on the huge oval window above the DJ downstairs. Bed has already hosted dozens of critically acclaimed international DJs, including Miguel Migs, Kenny Dope, Blaze, DJ Disciple, Alexkid, Gilles Peterson, Charles Schillings, etc. Besides bringing in top house DJ talent, Tuesdays see Bed play host to its legendary weekly hip- hop night. Wednesdays are models night, and Sunday's are Think Pink, Bed's gay night. Entrance is 600 baht most nights, a bit higher when guest (international) DJs are playing.

Half-pub, half-club, Escudo is two floors of chic interiors and pumping sounds. Slap-bang in the city's happening hub of Thonglor, fresh-faced local hipsters come here to sip whisky, dance and hang out. The first floor DJ's spin mostly mainstream hip-hop, while upstairs is more house-music driven. Very, very busy on weekends.
Escobar

On weekends this place is filled with hip-hop and raging hormones. There is a small bar on the right for chilling out as the main bar just after the entrance gets pretty crowded during the weekends. Prices are good with a bottle of Red Label and mixers going for around 1,400 baht.
Glow

In the steamy heart of Sukhumvit's club-land, Glow features lounge beds, long sofas, minimalist interior decor and smart lighting design. It's USP (unique selling point): tables are lit from below through acrylic to create the signature 'Glow' and, like a chameleon, the bar can adapt its colour (florescent lighting) to suit mood, crowd or sounds. Quick-handed bartenders mix up your favorite cocktails. Drink prices are pitched slightly lower than at the area's major clubs, and, bravely, the music-policy renounces hip-hop in favour of house, breakbeat and electro. Serve a selection of quality house wines and Tapas.

This New York style bar and club attracts a cosmopolitan crowd and is a running favourite among locals and expats. With over 50 different international brands of Vodka in their impressive vodka freezers, 20 different types of tequilas and 50 whiskey brands, and even a few bottles of Absinthe, this place is a booze connoisseurs paradise. Fancy a fine Cuban (cigar) to accompany that fine Russian vodka martini? No problem, as this is one of the few bars in Thailand to feature a full line of cigars from Cuba and the D.P. For proper club music, Q Bar has and continues to feature top international talent (such as Derrick Carter, The Jungle Brothers, and Afrika Islam, to name a few) each week, and plays host to an eclectic mix of nightlies featuring the best of hip-hop, house, drum'n'bass and acid jazz, not to mention Q Bar's famous Jub Chai (mixed soup) parties. Entrance is 500 baht weeknights, 600 baht on the weekends, and a bit higher when guest (international) DJs are playing.

Set inside an impressive mansion, the interior is pompous and grand. Resident DJs play trance while international DJs make appearances regularly. A popular and packed club.
Santika

Located in kicking Ekkamai, the giant Santika attracts an affluent Thai student crowd, with Euro models and Westerners also popping in. The main room is a roomy hall with multiple-tiers and scattered stand-up tables, the whisky-sipping crowd all focused on a large stage. Huge speaker cabinets dangling from the high-ceiling thump impressively. Sounds sit at the more commercial end, alternating between polished bands playing Thai/International Pop, hip-pop and US lite-rock covers, and DJ's delivering more of the same. The more intimate, urbane second room, Harlem, is given over entirely to hip-hop and more brooding in atmosphere and cosmopolitan in crowd. No entry fee, bring ID.

More entertainment complex than club, this stylish modern basement housed beneath the Novotel Siam Square Hotel pulls in a crowd comprised of tourists and attractive girls every night of the week. The sprawling main room is focussed around a stage, with a dance-floor and many raised tables and stools fringing it.
Here the all-singing, all-dancing All Star Band plays the latest R&B, hip-hop, dance, pop and rock hits (Thursday through to Tuesday). In between their energetic sets, DJ's Bom, Kriss and Ex serve up similarly commercial sounds, pumping the latest house and dance tracks while also working up a frenzy with promo competitions and crowd-rousing banter. Those preferring to bump and grind can do so in the suitably moody Boom Room adjoining the main room, the latest hip-hop and R&B tracks spun here. And a rather sexy looking new venue Bar@Siam Square also now forms part of the Concept CM2 experience, giving clubbers sleek, comfy furnishings to enjoy alongside sports TVs, pool tables, air hockey, international food and pinball machines. There's an extensive drinks menu offered throughout, with cocktails, wines, spirits, beers, even champagne available. Service is quick and friendly with bars at each end and plenty of table waiters roaming the floor.
Monday nights before 23:00 ladies gain free entry, but otherwise from Sunday through to Thursday entry is free before 22:00, 250 baht before 23:00 and 350 baht after (one free drink included in the price). On weekends, entry costs 450 baht before 22:00 (one free drink), 550 baht before 23:00 and 650 baht after (two free drinks).

For the hottest salsa parties in town, head straight to the Bar at Fogo Vivo, Bangkok's very own and only sizzling Brazilian venue. Friday nights see DJ Damian spinning music from across the Latin landscape, while on Saturdays let Cuban salsa king DJ Greco lead you through a night of groovy salsa beats in the 'Rueda de Casino' style with his own eclectic mixes and Colombian Luis accompanying on the congas. Wednesday nights are reserved for Lambada fans. The restaurant Churrascaria (downstairs) brings you not only the finest Argentinian beef, but also a mouthwatering selection of seafood, lamb, pork, duck, chicken and vegetables. Dancing queens (and kings) are welcome to join free dance lessons as well. Zouk for beginners every Wednesday from 19:30 to 20:30, intermediate from 20:30 to 21:30, and salsa for beginners every Friday from 21:00 to 22:00.

Located halfway down Patpong 1, on the left-hand side of the Patpong Night Bazaar, is Lucifer. Inside is a big, two-level club where red-eyed demon masks glare down onto a packed crowd dancing away to anything from pop and dance through to hardcore techno and trance music. Staff clad in orange uniforms and Satan's horns serve a large variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Amazingly, considering the size of the place, there is no cover charge. Loud, packed and hectic.

This chic club is the place to go for house music. Set in a stylish two-storey venue - which features a superb roof top bar open only on special occasions - Tapas presents live percussionists twice a week and attracts a hip and beautiful crowd with the occasional celebrity to be spotted. Not so long ago, Club Astra was one of Bangkok's most popular and up-and-coming night venues, with tonnes of local and international DJ'ing talent making an appearance. Despite a superb sound system, and massive dance arena that can fit up to 1,500 people, it hasn't quite lived up to expectation, and is currently only open for special events.

Set in a colossal building with two wings, Flix is on the left and Slim on the right. While Slim specializes in R&B and commercial hip-hop, Flix spins house tunes. Both clubs are stylish and heaving with people on weekends.

In the midst of this popular nightlife district, sits this suave mega-club catering to over 2,500 pleasure-seekers. Most of these are moneyed young Thais. Architecturally it's a treat, with sleek steel and glass combining to give the exterior an absorbing ultra-modern face, while inside is comprised of two chic, softly lit zones separated by curving glass partition. Each area is similar in style but offers a different flavour: the first has high-ceilings, gigantic disco balls and a cool retro vibe and caters to house music lovers, while the second and main room pumps the latest hip-hop, dance and reggae tracks. Behind the bar, creative mixologists blend cocktail concoctions, both beloved classics and adventurous new creations.

JazzITBangkok is a unique, new Thai-Italian disco featuring an impressive Italian wine list, Italian and Thai dishes, as well as Italian and Thai DJs spinning deep house, Latin house, and Brazilian house. Live vocalists and percussionists are thrown in the mix between sets. The club's live band also plays the latest pop and rock hits as well as popular classics every night.

Similar to Flix and Slim, the revamped Route 66 is divided into two sections East and West. Since R n B and Hip Hop seem to be what Bangkok's night crawlers want, it's what you'll hear in both sides. Reservations recommended.
