Talat Phlu BTS is located on the main Krung Thon Buri Road and is also connected by an interchange walkway with Ratchapruek BRT Station. Opened in February 2013, this station mainly serves locals who live in the area, as well as commuters and those interchanging with the BRT line.
The Talat Phlu area is well known locally for its abundance of excellent street food options mostly centred around Thoet Thai Road Soi 18 and Soi 25. There is also a major mall (Tha Phra) which can be found by walking down the busy Ratchadapisek Road. Street food – Walk up from Talat Phlu BTS station towards the old railway station to find a plethora of excellent street side vendors and food courts serving up local Thai food and very cheap prices.
Meehay Pub – live sports, pool table and cheap beer served up by cute staff that can’t speak a word of English. (Ratchadapisek Soi 10)
Mei Yuan Chinese – delectable dim sum in some rough and ready surroundings (Soi Rim Thang Rotfai 5)

The Mall Tha Phra – big air-conditioned mall selling everything under one roof, alongside numerous restaurants and entertainment facilities. (99 Ratchadaphisek Rd)
Talad Soi 13 – opposite the huge Thai Pra mall is this collection of cheap stalls selling clothes, accessories, knock off DVDs and street food.
