Robert Trent Jones Junior has designed and built over 150 remarkable golf courses around the world. Situated amidst beautiful countryside and benefiting from hundreds of trees and shrubs, Green Valley Country Club Golf Course is one of his best. There are some very difficult holes, including longish water carries on the opening holes of both sides.
Fairways give many sloping lies and many of the greens are hidden behind huge mounds. The four par fives are all tough holes; the 11th and 18th particularly so, as water hazards line both sides of the fairway. Clever placement of bunkers and undulating greens add to the difficulties of this very exacting course. The clubhouse is opulent.
