Destinations Around Bangkok
The world around Bangkok is as fascinating as the capital itself.
But also quite different. In under an hour or two you can explore
many places for a delightful day-trip to escape from the city buzz,
or stay overnight to get a true taste of a different kind of life.
The most popular destination outside Bangkok is probably Pattaya,
which is slowly shedding its sleazy image and reinventing itself
as a family-oriented destination. The night-time frolics, however,
remains. On the opposite end of the spectrum is the tranquillity
and peace of Kanchanaburi and its claim to fame; the movie 'Bridge
over the River Kwai'. Whatever your taste, it's all worth exploring. |
